The artist:

Graham Foster was born in Yorkshire, UK. He spent his early childhood in the Australian bush in Beewong Creek, Wandandian, in New South Wales, Australia. Since 1999 he is living and working in Cologne.

His work feeds off the techniques, images and embodied sensibilities spanning, Dadaist subversion, tribal totemism, seaside postcard humour,  cool and highly skilled traditionalist craftsmanship.

His graphic output is similarly, provocative, perplexing and spiced with whimsical humour.

The upcoming exhibition will includes two large canvases, ink drawings, iPad drawings on plexiglass and reproductions of sculpture also printed on plexiglass. The exhibition will certainly confront and challenge the engagement of the viewer.

‘His work is potent enough to offend but beautiful enough to disarm.’ (Robert Clark - Guardian UK)
